ZIP FILES
Many of the sites mentioned have the outlines in "zip" files. These are files which are compressed in order to make them easier to transfer via the internet. If you are unfamiliar with these files and how to get them "opened" then you need to get a copy of Winzip. which can be downloaded at download.com. Either type "download.com" in your browser or click on it and it will take you there. Once there, find the search window and type in "Winzip" and it will take you to a list of downloadable winzip programs you can download. Once you download the program, a simple click on it will install it on your computer and a simple click on the downloaded outline files you have found will take you to the program to have the files unzipped. Easy.
PDF FILES
Some outlines are zipped in "Adobe PDF" files. You can get the reader here. Acrobat Reader.
PROBLEMS
Problems can arise for a number of reasons. First of all, if you are attempting to download and open zip files on the school computers you may find that the administration has put firewalls which prohibit your efforts. If you are able to download a zip file but can't open it, then you should know that zip files are transportable and if you can save it to a disk then you can take it to your computer and unzip it using the winzip program you have also downloaded to a disk. Simple eh?
HTML Files
Html files shouldn't be a problem as long as you have the computer hooked up to a printer. School computers usually have printers attached. If not, then you would have to save the html file as a .html file to disk which you can read and print from Netscape 4. Another solution if you can't print from the internet is to highlight the whole text and right click to copy it on the clipboard. From their you can open up a word processor program and paste the text into an open empty document, save it and print it. As a last resort you can take that copied text and paste it into an email to yourself.
